Hola hola!

I’m SO excited to finally share these pictures with you. You may remember my previous post on the styling progress of this Adam’s Morgan basement apartment. It’s been a long project as we were dealing with actual renovations and not only with the styling process. But here it is! Girly, calm and full of fun colors, brings a well-deserved FRESH START to a couple of amazing ladies working in the DC area.

Challenges? Many. We were working with a small budget, so we decided to invest in some key pieces (like this beautiful gray sofa!) and pretty accessories (me encanta accesorizar), BUT the idea was to reuse and repurpose as many pieces as possible. How to do it? Adding some fun DIY projects to it :)

The TV stand, mini bar and side table in the living area got a fresh coat of white paint which completely changed the look of the place and brought much more light into it. You know, in basement apartments this is key!

As this is a rental place we were not totally in charge of final changes, but we could definitely beautify them all! This pretty breakfast bar is one of my favorite additions - I’d spend all the time here working on my computer or enjoying some tea & pie. Isn’t it cute?

This piece was going to be painted too, but after adding some fun accessories it just fit in the space. I’m a very big fan of extra storage solutions. These two boxes are great for magazines, throws and other stuff you need to cozy up.

The dining room set was a keeper. My client got it a couple of years ago and loved it’s shape. So, even though it is a bit big for the space it does have a glass table that helps creating the idea of a bigger room. It did’t need nothing but this gorgeous mint green center piece and the cutest side wine bar. Wine should always be available, right?

To finish, we filled the house with plants and art! All pieces were already from the client’s collection and just needed to be properly placed. Don’t you love this DC one with the cherry blossoms? Perfect for spring!

So, here it is. Clients are happy and planning on throwing a house-warming party soon! :) I’m very pleased with the new layout and with how we ended reusing a bunch of previously owned pieces. The idea is always to help my clients save some money.
