PROJECT - CHIC GLAM HOME OFFICE (WEEK 3)

It's week 3 on the transformation of my home office. This project is super special as it marks a big transition in my professional life, where I will focus 100% on my design studio. The transformation of my work space is one more thing that puts me closer to pursuing my dreams! And doing it myself is a big - and rewarding - challenge. Loving the place where I create plays a big role in my life.

I painted the whole thing myself, and even created an accent wall with herringbone-like stencils! I wanted a bright wall that would reflect the beautiful natural light we get in this room. So, I decided for a very subtle beige (Benjamin Moore's Temporal Spirit) I'm so proud of myself for completing it! These pictures are not the best but here's for you to see the final effect and the texture it added to the space. I love it!

And then I brought the always useful IKEA storage units that are crucial for organization. After a couple of hours of instructions and screws I have 4 units already full of things I use constantly. No worries though, doors are coming to hide all my treasures :)

At that point I was exhausted, and even wrote "WE CAN DO THIS" on the back of our new shelving units, hoping that years from now I'll read it again, laugh and remember today. I do those kind of things some times...

Proof that I do my homework is this little floor plan in my notebook. A tiny version of my current rug and desk help me visualize how to best arrange furniture in the room. Yeah, I'm a design nerd jaja! Guess which layout I selected in the end! :)

That was it for the hard work and then lots of pretty happened! I got these fabulous door pulls that will adorn my cabinets. I can't wait to get them installed! And the softest velvet curtains ever that I found on Clearance! Sooooo happy about that :)

I also cleaned my new etagere and started to style it a bit. I mean, that will happen like every day! But I won't reveal it just yet.

There's still lots of things to do, but the room is finally starting to look as what I envisioned. Again, I'm amazed by the power of paint and hard work. This is easily coming my favorite spot in the house, even to meditate in the mornings. Bringing some positive energy is also part of the deal :)

Thanks so much for reading! Stay tuned for much more of this transformation.

Get inspired. Stay inspired. xx.
