Valentine's Breakfast for two

Nothing beats breakfast in bed. Morning coffee and yummy food will make you feel extra pampered if you enjoy them in your pj’s. This is one of my favorite ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day - or any other day, to be honest. Easy to make, super cute and perfect for sharing with your special someone! Heart-shaped toasts, anyone? :)

For those who know me well it’s clear that I’m ALL about romance. I love love, and really enjoy all these celebrations around it. They give you an excuse to be extra romantic. Oh, I'll take it! Any day, anytime. Even when it comes to making your daily breakfast a special one. That's what I’m talking about!

Here’s a nice trick I tried for the first time recently. My husband loves eggs in a frame, so I decided to make them for him adding some extra cuteness. This was so easy to make and results are picture perfect! Take a look at these heart-shaped toasts! Would you like some jam with that? :)

If you already know how to make eggs in a frame, there’s is only a small variation: using a cookie cutter - with a fun shape - to cut the center of the bread. If you haven’t tried making them yet, this is what you need:

Some simple steps to follow:

Don’t forget to add your personal touch. This time I made some easy love notes and placed fresh flowers on the serving tray. Made with love, shared with love.

What are your plans for this Valentine’s Day? I will celebrate with close friends and the hubby because, you know? love should be shared! Enjoy!

Hello beautiful people!

As you may have noticed, I have a thing for skewers these days. They are the easiest way to transform your veggies - or fruits - into yummy snacks for any occasion! Plus, they look so beautiful and colorful. Click read more for easy ideas and preparation tips.

Options are endless, and it takes only a couple of minutes to put them together. My go to are cherry and grape tomatoes. They come in different colors and easily pair with cheese and other vegetables. Another great addition are those tiny mozzarella cheese balls. If you see them at the supermarket, get them! I'm sure you will find a way to use them.

Caprese skewers are my absolute favorite classic, specially with some fig balsamic vinegar on top (mmm!). I made this in 5 minutes or less. They look great and taste better!

If you are feeling more adventurous, you can roast your veggies before making the skewers. Broccoli, butternut squash and grape tomatoes make a great combo; and can be paired with some spicy peanut sauce for extra deliciousness.

Top them with olive oil, salt and pepper. Then, roast them in the oven (400F) for 20-30 minutes. They will shrink a little bit, which will make the skewer's preparation easier.

Cooked or raw, give your veggies a try! They are good for your health - and for your pocket, specially if you buy them in bulk. So, do you have any other ideas for easy skewers? Share them with us! I would love to try them all :)

Healthy Breakfast

Happy Monday, people!

I hope all of you had 1. A great weekend, and 2. Time to enjoy breakfast this morning. I know, sometimes one has to leave the house in a rush, but hey! If you have 3 extra minutes you can make this happen:

  • 1 cup of papaya
  • 2 tbsp of plain or greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp of honey

If you want to add energy to your breakfast, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Delicious!
