Happy weekend, guys!

Let's talk about basics today :) When it comes to decorating, I like to start with a basic layer of pieces and colors that I can work with to create my spaces' personalities. Going around my apartment I realized this layer is already everywhere and it's - not surprise in here - black and white! I just love the white and black palette.

For me adding pieces to a room and building a specific atmosphere takes time. I prefer to start with basic palette and pieces, and slowly add accessories, textures and colors. Statement pieces like sofas, ceiling lamps and big pieces of furniture go first. Rugs, side tables and plants go second. And, accessories, pillows and pops of color go last! Actually, I change the latter all the time depending on the season or my personal mood - meaning this happens all the time!

I find this to be the easiest way to change my decor! I buy the accessories I love and make them fit in my space however it makes me feel comfortable. Then I get tired of how they look and move them to a different room. It's a never ending process and I LOVE it! :) It feels new every time.

I play with the layout, the wall colors, and accessories. Decorating is a fun process! Giving a different personality to my blacks and whites, taking time to decide which color fits best. AND NOOOOWWW, I have all these spaces to play with! I'll keep sharing the process of each room transformation, and again very much appreciate all your ideas and suggestions on this big project!

So, what do you think of my basic layer? I can't wait to add pillows, colors and textures all around. Do you have any ideas? Share them with me! I'd love to know your favorite decor sources or tips :)

Thanks for passing by! You rock! xx.
