SHINY NEW YEAR!

I have always LOVED new years celebrations There's something great about the idea of a new beggining that is effervescent, shiny, full of dreams, great possibilities and positivism.

I like being a dreamer, and for one moment, celebrate all wonderful things that are (certainly and magically) about to happen. Celebrating nye is my favorite!

Here are some pictures I took to wish you a fabulous, sweet and splendorous 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

May all your dreams come true and your glitter stay on. Love,

SPLENDOROUS BUBBLY

Champagne! Yes, please! I've been obsessed with all these gorgeous pictures of bubbly and glitter and golden nye flakes. They are everywhere and are too irresistible not to share. (Image sources are available when clicking on each of them)

So, here are some of my favorites.

How are you gonna celebrate tonight?

CLASSIC CUCUMBER TEA SANDWICHES

You don't need a big excuse to treat yourself with a calm and yummy tea afternoon. Make a pause in your day, sip in one of your favorite teas and enjoy some tasty cucumber tea sandwiches.

They are very easy to make, I promise!

Who doesn't love a cup of warm tea and those delicious tea sandwiches served in 3-tier trays? Make your own, invite a friend over and enjoy.

Slice cucumbers and lemons into paper-thin rounds. Set lemons aside. Place cucumber slices in a colander, sprinkle them with some salt, and toss to combine. Set aside to drain for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also lightly blot them with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.

Now, follow these 4 steps:

Close the sandwiches with the remaining slices of bread. Trim the crusts, and cut them as small as you want.

Done! Delicious and healthy cucumber tea sandwiches. And, did I mention that they are vegan?

Enjoy your afternoon tea time :)
