March is the birthday month at home (hubby's birthday and mine are a week apart). Full of celebrations, and friends, and presents and cake! It's a happy month and I love it.

This year, I was so lucky to meet sweet Loralie from Ellenor Shop. She has the cutest details for any celebration, and she's fantastic to work with! It took me some time to decide for a couple of things to style my birthday party - everything in her shop is so beautiful BUT! when I saw this gold cake topper I knew it would be perfect.

To make the set up even more special I decided to get a couple of these mini white paper roses. They can be used as napkin rings, place cards or just spread around the table. I was not planning on a sit down dinner so I tied them to champagne coupes as wine tags. I love the look!

For extra cuteness, I added mint green heart-shaped sugar cubes. They add the perfect pop of color on the table... and in your champagne glass!

TIP --> Don't forget the small details. They make ALL the difference :)

We had so much fun during those weeks. Nothing too big, but surely big enough to be styled! And again, I'm grateful and amazed by all those creatives with beautiful projects like Loralie. They remind me that working hard takes you to wonderful places. That persistence pays off. That it's important to find happiness in the process.

So, are you celebrating any special occasion soon? or having a get together just for fun? Tell me about it. I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for passing by. <3

Hosting is one of my favorite things!

Having friends over for a small gathering or a big party for the holidays. It's all a reminder of everyday being special and worth celebrating, right? I love taking the time to organize parties at home from time to time. But with work and my personal projects I need to be very practical when having people over, especially during a work day. Today I want to share a quick set up I put together to welcome our guests.

The hubs was cooking some japanese food, but I didn't want to go for the obvious black and red oriental table set up so I mixed and matched pieces to create a colorful dinner table.

These flowers that I had in the bedroom served as a simple center piece and inspired the use of multiple colors and pieces. I used dark purple placemats instead of a table cloth. And because the table is small, I only placed two of them facing each other - I just love the look of the exposed black wood table!

Then I placed purple bowls over pink napkins and yellow plates. Mixed it with silver utensils and petite dishes to rest the chopsticks. I really have no rules for setting up casual tables. So I try to have fun with everything I find around :)

This set up works because I used a purple & pink color palette with the flowers as a focal point. The added pop of yellow breaks the similarity and adds a fun touch.

Here you have it! A Thursday night casual dinner with friends at home. Add some wine and love and you'll have a fabulous time.

Have a great Sunday and thanks for passing by! xx.

I wanted to start the year with our new FAB HOSTESS series (Yei!) In here we will share easy TIPS and ideas for party styling and entertaining at home. You know we like small gatherings. They are special, intimate and unique. And for me personally, there's nothing more meaningful than enjoying my own home and share it with the ones I love.

The hubby and I decided to stay home for NYE - for the first time ever. It was a last-minute decision which demanded last-minute planning and preparation. What to do? Dinner for two, champagne and candles.

I run to the grocery store to grab some fresh flowers and sweets to welcome the new year and beautify our space. Set up the table for two with our nice china and holiday napkins. I created a runner placing two placemats next to each other. For extra sparkle and a celebratory mood I added silver ribbon and used my fab ribbon printer (yes, that's a thing!) to add a personal touch with a personalized message.

TIP: Personalized messages for your guests are the cutest. If you don't have a ribbon printer, you can write them down on a small card and place them on their plates.

To expand the party, I styled the top of our bar with a pair of champagne flutes, more ribbon - obviously - and our favorite sweets! Macaroons, almond cookies and chocolates. Used again my "Cheers" picture frame and added a pair of noise makers to use at midnight :)

We absolutely enjoyed avoiding the cold and staying at ours. champagne and chocolates is actually one of the best combos ever. Seriously. Try it!

So, here's to many more celebrations and happy moments. I believe everyday and every occasion is special and should be celebrated in your own style. Hope you like this series! And if you have any request, idea or question LET ME KNOW! I would love to know more about your next at-home special event.

Thanks again for passing by. Cheers!
