March is the birthday month at home (hubby's birthday and mine are a week apart). Full of celebrations, and friends, and presents and cake! It's a happy month and I love it.

This year, I was so lucky to meet sweet Loralie from Ellenor Shop. She has the cutest details for any celebration, and she's fantastic to work with! It took me some time to decide for a couple of things to style my birthday party - everything in her shop is so beautiful BUT! when I saw this gold cake topper I knew it would be perfect.

To make the set up even more special I decided to get a couple of these mini white paper roses. They can be used as napkin rings, place cards or just spread around the table. I was not planning on a sit down dinner so I tied them to champagne coupes as wine tags. I love the look!

For extra cuteness, I added mint green heart-shaped sugar cubes. They add the perfect pop of color on the table... and in your champagne glass!

TIP --> Don't forget the small details. They make ALL the difference :)

We had so much fun during those weeks. Nothing too big, but surely big enough to be styled! And again, I'm grateful and amazed by all those creatives with beautiful projects like Loralie. They remind me that working hard takes you to wonderful places. That persistence pays off. That it's important to find happiness in the process.

So, are you celebrating any special occasion soon? or having a get together just for fun? Tell me about it. I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for passing by. <3

One of my favorite things to do during the Holidays is to play hostess. Have friends over for drinks, dinner, party times. Anything! This is the time of the year when no one questions if you use your favorite china WITH christmas ornaments, gold accessories, flowers and actually go over the top! Because, you know... WHY NOT?! It's time to celebrate!

This set up happened in a random morning - maybe a Tuesday at 8ish am when I felt like playing with some pretty stuff and pretend I had a fancy dinner happening that night! - Just having the table set up made me want to throw a party and have friends over. Talking about inspiration... you can always create it yourself! :)

I put together this table using pieces of my favorite china and the one I use daily over a silk purple placemat.

TIP: Mix and match pieces for a more interesting and personal look!

Black and white are my go-to colors! Gold and silver accents were added with shiny flatware, a gold napkin holder and jingle bells! Everything accentuated with gold sprigs, and why not? a piece of my favorite chocolate. What do you think?

I can't get enough of the Holidays and its beauty! and I take every opportunity to play with it - I even made my business cards part of this set up - and I really hope you have a WONDERFUL TIME creating, decorating and celebrating the Holiday Season.

Lady Dinner Styling

Good morning, everyone!

I've been dying to share this beautiful look book that we recently put together for Bookalokal with super talented entrepreneurs and bloggers! Thanks so much to Spicy Candy DC for organizing us all, Katya for the fab jewelry, Julien for the pictures, and Jess for the always-delicious food!

It was so much fun to do the styling for this event. Dinner for the ladies, fall colors, beautiful details and obviously, champagne cocktails! I wish it could happen every week :) Here are some of my tips and sources for your next lady event. Make sure to invite me if you organize one!

Personal Touch

Pamper your guests! Make easy placeholders or name tags for each of them. It welcomes your friends with a special treat. And remember, nothing beats your handwriting :) Seasonal flowers and colorful napkins add the finishing touch.

Outdoor ambiance

It's still warmish out there, so take advantage of your outdoors! Place candles everywhere. They are the perfect way to add a bit of flavor and ambiance to your party. Plus, don't they look oh-so romantic? :) The more the better.

Hostess tip

Use what you have! Mix and match placemats and glasses. It adds personality to your set up and tells a bit more about your life experiences. Vintage pieces are always perfect!
